July Walk

To the Greater Columbus Emmaus Community,

May God’s peace and love surround you now. Times are strange. Throughout history people have been faced with challenges to overcome. These challenges can always be met with the help of Christ Jesus.  As Paul wrote to the Christians in Ancient times to encourage, guide and redirect we need that same support in our 4th days. The Greater Columbus Emmaus Community has been maintaining for the past two years of Covid. The time is now for us to flourish.
We have a walk scheduled for July 28, 29, 30 and 31st at Grove City UMC. This weekend will be unique in that it will be Coed. Men’s tables and women’s tables will be assigned with separate sleeping arrangements. But all centered on revitalizing the Pilgrims walk with Christ Jesus.

We need your help. Many people have moved on and we have lost touch with others. It is time to bring everyone back into the fold and share the good news of Jesus Christ with those needing to overcome.   God has provided us with so much and an Emmaus weekend is a simple gift to give back and nurture others. Please prayerfully consider how you can be a part of this amazing time. We need team members.   Historically, the team selection process was different. Times have changed and we are changing also.  Please contact either myself, Janet Prior, Pastor Ruth, Pastor Karen, or Anita Shawler if you can be part of this amazing weekend. Send email to help@gcemmaus.org. We are praying for you always.
There will be more ways to serve sent at a later date. God is looking for soldiers to battle with the demons of apathy, time priorities, and social darkness. Be bold and follow where the Lord is guiding. Who have you prayed for today? Who have you brought to Christ this week? Who needs the Lord this month?  Be strong and courageous, for the Lord needs his warriors more than ever.
